Commissioners and Mayor Stop Receiving Benefits

City Commissioners and a Mayor in one valley city will stop receiving health benefits after a judge's ruling.
The judge ruled that Brownsville’s City Commissioners and Mayor are not entitled to medical insurance benefits. Some Brownsville residents filed the lawsuit last march and they say the judge's ruling is just.

Brownsville Mayor, Pat Ahumada, says he is disappointed with some of the commissioners. He said they took advantage of their position, the city and its residents. These residents say also say these officials took advantage of the medical benefits also their gas and cell phone allowance. And they hope, with this ruling, the city will start using taxpayers' money to fix roads that are in bad shape.
