The City of La Feria is seeing record numbers for this Election's Early Voting.

The reason is a very interesting race for the Mayor.

There is a special election following 2007’s Election.

Steve Brewer won the election by 11 votes over Incumbent Lalo Sosa.

Sosa then sued Brewer claiming voter fraud at the polls. A judge ruled in favor of Sosa and granted a special election to be held.

The general election for this race will be held May 10th.
