Red River Service Corporation had a clause in its contract that allowed them to void it by giving the county a 120 day notice.The county got the news a couple of days ago and the county has had many differences with them since the corporation began its services.

In a written statement from Red River, the corporation will begin providing services to unincorporated areas of the county on an individual basis rather than under a contract with Cameron county. The County Commissioner's Court will discuss the matter in Tuesday's weekly county meeting.

It will evaluate the situation and maybe start a bidding process for a new provider. Cameron county should have a new trash pick-up service by September 1st.
