Less than a month ago, tejano singing sensation hit the stage right here in the Valley.

Now after a weekend bus crash, Emilio Navaira is fighting for his life, 45 year-old Navaira wooed fans at this year's Sombrero Fest. Festival President, Roy De Los Santos, says he hopes, Emilio, who is suffering from severe head trauma, will get well soon, and return to the Valley, once again.

The Grammy winning tejano music star, is now clinging onto his life, after being thrown thru his tour bus windshield, days ago in Houston.

A prayer vigil for Emilio will be held next Tuesday at 7pm, in downtown Brownsville's Linear Park.
