RIO GRANDE VALLEY — A quarter of a million dollars has been awarded to the Valley's Teach for America  sector that trains college graduates in the field of education. The Meadows Foundation wrote the check last week with a few requirements including one in which teachers, in the program, must agree to teach two years in under resourced schools. The program has recruited over a thousand teachers into the Valley over the last twenty years.
