Local officials to host round table on Medicaid Expansion
MERCEDES, TX (KVEO NEWS CENTER 23) — Several state and local representatives will be holding a round table on Medicaid Expansion on Friday, April 26.
State Representative Mando Martinez, Hidalgo County Commissioner Hector Palacios, Weslaco City Commissioner David Fox and other health care advocates will be hosting the forum on uninsured working residents in the Valley.
The 1.5 Campaign is a statewide effort to organize Texans to force health care expansion in the Texas Legislation for those individuals who are uninsured. The round table will include a panel of uninsured workers who would qualify for coverage under the health care expansion.
