UTRGV and Harlingen CISD represent Texas at Summit

HARLINGEN, Texas - UTRGV and the Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District are back from representing the state of Texas at a special summit in Washington, D.C.

They were one of 90 proposals on teacher preparation for bilingual teachers in the spotlight at the National Teach to Lead Summit in Washington, D.C. The team was comprised of Dr. Sandra Musanti, Associate Professor at UTRGV’s Department of Bilingual Literacy Studies, two teacher candidates for the Bilingual Certification Program, Maria Meza second grade bilingual teacher, and Principal Mindy Sanchez from Lee H. Means Elementary School in Harlingen.
