EDINBURG, Texas - A Hidalgo County Justice of the Peace is accused of sexually harassing one of his employees.
Justice of the Peace PCT. 2 Homer Jasso Sr. has been publicly reprimanded by the State Commission on Judicial Conduct. The commission’s findings allege Jasso sexually harassed his former clerk and mishandled a case.
The report also details Jasso amended judgement without notifying both parties. The judge testifying the delay in the case was due to a turnover in his staff.
Terminating five employees for "political reasons" after they expressed support for his opponent in an upcoming election.
Jasso was publicly reprimanded and must complete 80 hours of instruction for new judges by the end of the year.
