The Goal: A Safe Holiday Season for All. To accomplish such, local law enforcement agencies have planned, coordinated and will implement law enforcement patrols in an effort to make a regional impact against driving under the influence.

These departments, McAllen Police Department, Edinburg Police Department, Pharr Police Department, and Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).

As part of these strategies, the McAllen Police Department will deploy a DWI task force EVERY DAY, commencing on December 13, 2013 through January 4, 2014.

These efforts include no refusal enforcement on certain days. In a refusal circumstance, Officers will conduct blood search warrants on suspects who refuse to provide a breath or blood sample.

The chiefs of the participating departments in this team effort will be present to answer questions about the team enforcement effort.

A press event will be held at the McAllen Convention Center on Wednesday December 11, 2013 at 10:00 am.

Be safe this Holiday Season and Don’t Drink and Drive. Have a designated driver or call a taxi.

All this about let's stop DWI, that's great but let's start with the law enforcement first. I'm sick of these guys getting away with beating of wife's, drinking and driving , drugs etc. And that's only what we hear about. Can't image what's behind closes doors.
