SOUTH PADRE ISLAND — South Padre Island fire fighters and the Air Evacuation Life Team teamed up to show support for a 4 year-old child with terminal cancer by spelling out his name, Dyrk Burcie, with a fire hose and taking a picture. Dyrk is the son of a Dallas fire fighter several fire departments around the state are showing their support by taking pictures and sending them to the Burcie family. Max Lopez of the Air Evac Life Team stated, "We wanted to send our support to him and his family, it is terminal cancer, so what we want them to know is we are thinking about them."
