Educators and business people from across the state are here in the Valley to learn more about teaching through technology.

The Transforming Learning Conference showed participants different ways to bring technology into the classroom and the workplace. Several panel discussions highlighted three main topics, including policy and leadership, digital textbooks and applications. Education Innovation Director William Rankin stated, "One of the things that we recognize is that students actually learn best not when we repeat something, but when they can use that knowledge to make something new, so that has been a real focus for us here."

Bringing education into the digital age is an idea McAllen I.S.D. and members of the conference want the Valley and the State of Texas to embrace.
