Law Enforcement Searching for Sex Offender

The Department of Public Safety is stepping up its efforts to track down one of Texas top ten most wanted sex offenders.

The agency has increased the reward for information leading to the arrest of 37 year-old Gaspar Loya III who has failed to register as a sex offender. That reward has now been bumped up to $15,000 dollars and authorities believe he was last seen in Weslaco. Loya has a lengthy criminal history which includes murder and indecency with a child among other crimes and he is considered armed and dangerous.
