Several Valley students, representing different law enforcement Explorer posts, gathered on Wednesday at Tony Gonzalez Park in Brownsville.

The law enforcement Explorers Program provides educational training for young adults learning more about law enforcement careers. The Explorers Program is open to people ages 14 to 21 years of age. Explorers from Border Patrol, Brownsville Police and Brownsville Fire and Rescue competed in several basketball tournaments and officials hope to raise awareness of the program and recruit more adults. Any teen who is interested in joining can call the Southmost Community Network Center at 956.548.7045.
