"I know she's listening and I know she's looking down on us." says Isela Villalobos, Garza's aunt.
Laura Garza's family couldn't hold back tears today as they spoke to us about her tragic death.
"It was a sense of a little bit of peace that we were getting her back." she added.
Its been over two years since the death of the aspiring dancer and her family says they still struggle everyday.
Garza's ashes arrived in McAllen last Friday. In a few days they will finally say good bye.
Garza was last seen leaving a New York nightclub with registered sex offender, Michael Mele.
Her body was found 16 months later in Pennsylvania. Mele faces a number of charges including murder.
Garza's family says they were touched with the support they received from around the nation, especially the authorities in the northeast.
Even though Garza's ashes are finally home, family members say they will always struggle to find closure.
Villalobos says, "Is there ever really closure? Can anyone really call it closure? I mean, in my opinion, it's not closure. It will never be closure. We still have a long ride ahead of us. This is far from over."
The memorial service will be Friday, March 11, 2011 at 6 p.m.
