An Edinburg man wanted for kidnapping is facing burglary charges.

Police say Jeremy Daniel Mendez, along with another unidentified man, forced their way into an Edinburg home with a shotgun.  The person living in the home said Mendez forcibly too his ex-girlfriend and her three-month-old son.

Mendez is being held on a $100,000 bond.

"That's a normal amount; I'm sure there's another charge that's going to follow up, but this is just the breaking and entering charge," sad Justice of the Peace Bobby Contreras.

The Hidalgo County Sheriff's office found Mendez with the help of Willacy County Sheriff officials.  Police are still trying to identify the second man.
