This is the time of year many of us make our annual new year's resolutions. But how many of us will actually succeed?
Ringing in the new year, the big orange is preparing to rise to the occasion while many of us prepare to make popular promises: eat less, exercise more, quit smoking. New year's resolutions, easier said than done.
Corky Dozier of Miami says "I never keep them. I make them, but it's so difficult to keep."
Then there's Plum TV host, Jennifer Santiago, who made a resolution to become a vegetarian and kept it for more than 10 years.
Jennifer Santiago of South Beach says "and these are the ones that I'm struggling with."
Perfecting yoga poses is just one of her resolutions for 2011.
Jennifer says "I hold myself accountable by putting it out there very publicly and writing about it on my blog. Because this way I have to be 100% committed to it because there are going to be people out there that are going to hold me to it."
Here are some tips to help you keep your resolutions: make them realistic, have a plan of action, write them somewhere, and share them with family and friends. Or, put it on TV like Mayor Tomas Regaldo.
Mayor Regaldo says "well my new year's resolution is not to raise taxes in the city of Miami."
