Juvenile suspected of shooting ICE agent will be tried as adult in court

After a certification hearing in the 449th District Court, Judge Jesse Contreras came to a decision on the juvenile suspected of shooting an ICE agent.

Marquez Alvarado, 17, will be tried as an adult.

He is being charged with criminal attempted murder, a second degree felony.

Alvarado is believed to be the shooter that wounded an undercover ICE agent in July, 2012.

Alvarado was transported over the Hidalgo County Jail.
