Jury selection to begin for man accused of killing estranged pregnant wife
CAMERON COUNTY, TX (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — Jury selection was postponed until Wednesday for the trial of a man accused of shooting and killing his estranged wife, her unborn child and her male friend.
Omar Montemayor will face a Cameron County jury and judge on capital murder charges.
Investigators say in 2012 he forced his way into his estranged wife's Harlingen home and shot her and another man before turning the gun on himself in a failed suicide attempt.
Montemayor is being held on a $6 million dollar bond.
