Jury Finds Attorney Ray Marchan Guilty of Racketeering
BROWNSVILLE — A jury has convicted Port Isabel attorney Ray Marchan for racketeering and conspiracy on Monday afternoon. Marchan was on trial for bribing former 404th District Judge Abel Limas for more than $11,000 dollars for favorable rulings. Limas has pleaded guilty to racketeering last year and is awaiting sentencing. United States District Judge Andrew Hanen ruled that Marchan can remain free on bond pending sentencing.
