BROWNSVILLE - A Cameron county jury ended their night without sentencing Wilfredo Padilla in his capital murder trial.

The jury began deliberating around noon on Monday and will continue on Wednesday in Padilla's trial in the murder of Jo Ann Chavez. Chavez was kidnapped from Valle Vista Mall in Harlingen back in 2003 and her remains were found two years later  in Willacy county. Investigators say Padilla is one of ten people accused in her murder and prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.
