Cameron county has a new interim Justice of the Peace for Precinct 2 as former Brownsville Municipal Judge Kip Hodge was officially sworn-in on Monday.

Judge Hodge was sworn-in by County Judge Carlos Cascos at the Cameron County Commissioners Court with family and friends attending the ceremony. Judge Hodge is filling the position that was left vacant by the passing of Justice of the Peace Tony Torres. Judge Hodge will server the remainder of Torres term who held the position for more than 20 years.
