Joplin In Ruins
Tornado kills more than 100 people as it slices through Missouri city.
The recovery effort continues in Joplin, Missourifollowing one of the deadliest single tornado strikes in half a century.
At least 116 people are dead and hundreds more injured after the massive twister raked through the city Sunday.
The violent attack began just before sundown.
The massive tornado, at times three-quarters of a mile wide, cut through the heart of Joplin, ripping apart everything in its six mile path.
As soon as the winds stopped the search for survivors began.
Donald Mossball's brother and sister-in-law were two of those killed in the storm.
"This hits more at home.. it hits to the soul.. its tough, very tough but they are with the Lord right now," he said.
Faith is all that many have left here right now, their homes and lives shattered, splintered wood and twisted metal the only remnants of what yesterday were neighborhoods and communities.
Search and rescue teams continue working around the clock, understanding they have limited time to find anyone who may be trapped under all of the debris.
