BROWNSVILLE - County leaders spent the day trying to come up with solution and discuss the various problems the county jail is experiencing.

Judge Cascos says the county has spent almost $3 million dollars in 18 months housing inmates, "There's just a lot of blame to go around, everything from judges to the D.A.'s office, the the sheriff's office. This is a very complex problem but unfortunately we got to find a way to not only do a short term solution but a permanent solution as well to stop the hemorrhaging, the financial hemorrhaging that we're seeing."

There was no resolution, but officials will continue to discuss the issue and hopefully come up with a solution soon.
