Couple comes to rescue of dog stranded by wheelchair theif.

Jack the dog is mobile again.

The Rhode Island Lab-mix was left without a way to get around when a thief took his custom built wheelchair earlier this week.

When David Holtzen and Keith Downs saw a report on the crime on NBC affiliate WJAR, they sprang into action.

The couple had a spare wheelchair left after their own dog passed away recently.

They were able to track down Marilyn Proulx, Jack's owner, and delivered the chair.

After a few quick adjustments Jack is rolling again.
