Nation's largest wireless carrier will add popular Apple phone in February.

The Apple iPhone will soon be available on the nation's largest wireless network.

Verizon announced Tuesday it will start selling the iconic smartphone for use on its network starting February 10th.

It will sell for either $200 or $300, depending on the model, and require a two year contract.

The move has been widely anticipated by industry watchers.

A Verizon iPhone gives Apple a way to broaden its appeal as it fights off a strong challenge from Google's Android phones.

Previously the iPhone was only sold in the U.S. for use on AT&T's wireless service.
