Immigration Rights Group Writes Letter to President Obama
A Houston based immigration rights group is asking President Obama for temporary protection status for Mexican nationals living in the U.S. due to the ongoing violence in Mexico.
Victor Ibarra, the president of Alianza Mexicana wrote a letter to the president requesting the status grant. It asked that undocumented immigrants currently in the U.S. be allowed to stay during the brutal violence in Mexico and not be deported. Ibarra says already he has 1,100 people who signed a petition for the president and he's hoping for more support in the future.
