IDEA Schools Opens New Campus in Edinburg
EDINBURG - IDEA Public Schools held a grand opening of it's new campus in Ebinburg and it's the twentieth campus in the Valley.
IDEA schools have been extremely successful since launching it first school over ten years ago and with over 10,000 students enrolled presently, it plans to open several more campus in the future. IDEA School's founder Tom Torkelson stated, "We need to have a healthy education ecosystem. We need great school districts, we need great charter schools, we need great universities. We need great community colleges so to me IDEA is about strengthening the education ecosystem here in the Rio Grande Valley."
Due to the high demand, officials hope to have 22 schools open by the end of 2012 and over 20,000 children are currently on a waiting list.
