Husband wanted for murder remains at large

BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — A Cameron County Grand jury has indicted a San Benito man for the murder of his wife and her friend that happened last month.
Mario Gonzalez, 46, was indicted on Wednesday, July 10 for stabbing his wife Lorena Gonzalez, 46, and Homero de los Santos, 38 numerous times in June.
A tip to the Texas Rangers led Cameron County Sheriff's Department investigators to the residence where Lorena Gonzalez and De los Santos bodies were found in the bathroom.
Gonzalez had failed to appear in court, from a previous incident, for an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on July 2nd and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
He remains at large and anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the District Attorney's Office at 956.544.0849.
