The Hidalgo Sheriff's Department has charged Jose Vasquez with the death of his wife Maria De Jesus Garcia.

Investigators say that on Sunday morning, Vasquez used a hunting knife to stab his wife several times on her upper torso and died. Vasquez was given a $500,000 dollar bond.
