Housing Market Bouncing Back in Hidalgo County
HIDALGO COUNTY - Texas is seeing a bounce back in the housing market and the Texas Association of Realtors says right now the market's good for both home buyers and sellers.
The quarterly housing report from the end of last year shows a 6% increase in sales volume with more than 46,000 homes sold in just three months which may be the start of a promising future for the market. Star Proprieties Realtor Alex Melchor said, "We are surprised. As the economy is growing now again, the housing market has also grown, so 2012 does look like a positive year for this coming year now."
The cities of McAllen, Mission and Edinburg are getting recognized based on a study by Market Watch and the three cities are considered to be the top housing areas in the country. The poll looks into the housing market, population growth, the number of jobs and job growth.
