A $20,000 dollar donation by a McAllen hospital and the local police department will bring dozens of smiles to children in the area this Christmas.

Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg and McAllen police have teamed up to give out hundreds of gifts to children in an event called Christmas for Kids 2009. The event brings toys and entertainment to children and their families. Children will also be treated to food, music and a small parade on December 19th at 8:30am at the McAllen Municipal Park. If you would like to have your child receive a toy, they must be between the ages of 12 or younger. Registration starts on December 7th and ends on the 16th.
