Mission police are searching for several armed gun men, who they believe broke into a home and held more than half a dozen people inside against their will last night around 11.
Mission Police say there were ten people inside the home at the time of the invasion, they say the suspects got away with a purse and cell phone.
Today, splintered pieces of a broken door frame sit on the lawn of this home on Timberwood Ave., where Mission Police say, a group of men carrying guns, barged in, looking for drugs.
Workers are here fixing the door where the home invasion took place, late last night.
The family who lives here, told police some un-welcome guests.
Five men with guns stormed into their home, and tied one of them up.
We tried to speak to the family, but they told their door repairman to tell us, that officers advised them not to talk about the incident with anyone.
So we spoke to neighbors.
Candelerio Loera, says he's not afraid of a home invasion.
Mr. Loera, says many of these neighbors have lived in the neighborhood for many years so he feels safe knowing that their going to watch out for each other.
He says, he feels safe enough to leave his door wide open during the day, but at night he locks up.
"Our doors open all the time, we're not afraid of nothing."
The gunmen were last seen driving away in a black car,if anyone has any info for police you're asked to call their Crime Stoppers line at 956-581-T-I-P-S.
