Shelters help people in need every day so a home improvement store decided to pitch in and help one of those shelter.
The Good Neighbor Settlement House in Brownsville serves disadvantaged families and they received a $5,000 grant to refurbish parts of their facility. More than 30 volunteers showed up to help paint and clean up the building and one of the biggest parts of the projects was the organic self sustaining garden. Volunteers will cultivate the food that comes in form the garden and will feed the people that get to the shelter.
