HIDALGO COUNTY, TEXAS (NEWS CENTER 23) — The Hidalgo State of County Address will take place Thursday night at the Palmer Pavillion in McAllen.

Judge Ramon Garcia is expected to be a keynote speaker. Garcia will discuss the county's growth and it's future plans so that it will continue to prosper.

Garcia also mentioned the possibility of a proposed district tax for the new medical school coming to the valley.

Judge Garcia says he feels optimistic about the new medical school and is looking forward to the growth and prosperity it will bring to the valley.
