Hidalgo sheriff's searching for robbers.

Hidalgo county sheriff's investigators believe two separate attacks on homeowners are connected.

The first happened at Minnesota road and Janice street north of Mission when a man working on his yard was threatened with a shotgun. The man reports the the robbers got away with $300 dollars and beat him with the shotgun. The second robbery happened at Conception road when four men approached a homeowner who was outside on his property and threatened him with a shotgun to his head. The homeowner was assaulted with the shotgun and beaten by the men and was robbed of $800 dollars and his pit bull was killed before the men left.
