Hidalgo sheriff deputies arrest wanted gang members.

Hidalgo county sheriff's deputies are hoping to arrest one man instead made two arrests on Monday.
Both men are known gang members and one was wanted for murder and the other for aggravated robbery. Investigators set up a surveillance unit at an apartment complex near Sugar Road in Pharr hoping to find 37 year-old Mike Bueno who is wanted for aggravated robbery. Authorities saw Bueno leave an apartment with another man on Monday morning and drove away. A deputy attempted to pull them over, but they refused and officers followed the car until the men bailed out of the car. They attempted to run but officers did catch and arrest both men. Bueno is under arrest now on aggravated robbery charges and the other man is 29 year-old Luis Cuevas for murder in March.
Hidalgo county sheriff, Lupe Treviño says, Bueno has an extensive criminal record, including a murder conviction in 1992. He also allegedly a captain with the Tri-City Bombers gang and is suspected to be the leader of a group posing as police officers and federal agents to commit home invasions. Cuevas is also wanted for drug possession charges and is believed to be a member of the same gang.
A judge set bond for Cuevas at $1 million dollars for the murder charge and $350,000 dollars for the marijuana charge. Bueno is behind bars under $1 million dollar bond for aggravated robbery chagres.
