Hidalgo County Sees Larger Voter Turn Out

A few polling places in Hidalgo county ran into minor problems on Tuesday, but county officials say that for the most part, the day went smoothly, all thanks to early voter turn out, Joangel Concepcion has more.

Over 25,000 people voted in Hidalgo county on election day and over 50,000 people voted early making this year's election process smoother than ever. Voters who decided to cast their ballots a week before election day had the benefits of not dealing with any polling problems and most importantly no lines.

Despite a few issues at polling locations this year officials called it a good election day and for those individuals who encountered problems this year, early voting might be the way to go next election season.
