The Hidalgo County Head Start Program will be hosting the 8th Annual Parent Fair on Friday, November 22, 2013. The event will be held at the Palmer Pavilion in McAllen, Texas from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM.
In an effort to provide Head Start parents with an opportunity to network with local agencies and receive training, Head Start has collaborated with over 60 agencies.

The agencies will be providing services such as, FREE health screenings, mini training sessions, hands on – how to workshops, and FREE haircuts.

Approximately 1,000 Head Start parents are expected to attend this year to take advantage of the FREE services.

The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office has provided 250 turkey dinners to be raffled amongst the parents and lunch will be provided by the Head Start Program.

A Head Start Parent Committee Talent Contest will be taking place and as well as many door prizes. The event is specifically for Head Start parents.
