An Hidalgo County employee is accused of selling high-end marijuana while on the clock.

Christian Lee Sanchez, 23, works for the Parks & Rec department for Precinct 2 in Hidalgo County.  San Juan police arrested Sanchez at North San Juan Park for allegedly selling hydroponic marijuana at a county park during his work hours.

Police say text messages on Sanchez's phone determined his involvement in selling the drugs.

"Once we placed him under arrest, that allows us access to his cell phone," explained Sgt. Rolando Garcia.  "Once we got into his cell phone we discovered several text messages where people were asking him for a gram of marijuana, where people were asking for all sorts of narcotics, and him referring back saying yeah I have this much for this much."

Sanchez was reportedly on probation for possession of marijuana at the time of the arrest.  He is charged with possession of marijuana in a drug-free zone and possession of a controlled substance.

His total bond is set at $15,000.
