Hidalgo County Drainage Referendum Passes

The Hidalgo county drainage referendum bond passed by a large number of votes and the $184 million dollar project is designed to control and expedite the flow of floodwaters to the Laguna Madre. The referendum is expected to put $100 million dollars toward the Raymondville drain and the additional $84 million dollars is built around a list of a dozen projects to help improve water flow.
