HIDALGO CITY — Hidalgo City's Police Chief  Vernon Rosser announced on Tuesday that he was stepping down after pressure from newly elected city council members. Rosser had been the city's Police Chief for almost twenty years and when asked by NewsCenter 23 to the city manager what was the reasoning for Rosser's resignation he stated he was unavailable to comment on the situation.
