Police say parents took kids along on drug deal, offered to leave one behind as collateral. Michelle Fiore reports.

(WTMJ) A Wisconsin couple is accused of offering to use their children as collateral in a heroin deal.

Investigators in Racine County say Ashley Fay and her boyfriend Blair Larose brought two young girls along on three heroin deals involving a sheriff's informant.

"Personally, I have worked undercover narcotics. I have been on a number of investigations myself and I have never heard even joking someone saying that they would be willing to leave their child behind as collateral in exchange for narcotics," said Racine County Sheriff Christopher Schmaling.

Sheriff Schmaling says the couple admitted to using heroin daily and selling it to support their habit.

Too bad to hear that. We should protect the kids and keep them out from their parents who made use of them as collateral.
