Thieves crushed by coin machine as they make their getaway.

Police are trying to find a pair burglars after their theft of a Jacksonville, Florida's change machine was caught on camera.

The two bold thieves kicked their way through a fence behind the Clean Car Car Wash and went straight for the change machine at the front of the business.

The two wore hats and shirts as cover to hide from several cameras at the business.

Video shows the two men breaking through a door.

They spend about 10 minutes inside un-hooking wires and loosening bolts to push the machine through.

"Sign of the times and ...people are hurting so they'll do whatever they can do to get by," said Robert Olson.

Olson owns local security company, Future Computer Systems.

He said thieves are getting bolder.

"This is a part of the business - crooks constantly breaking in to steal all they can steal or get money," said Olson.

In this case, the thieves had a tough time.

After removing the machine from the wall, one suspect took a bad step which caused him to fall down with 200 lbs. of metal falling on top of him.

"It's a pretty good impact," said Olson.

Olson hopes that an injury helps identify the suspects.

"I would think so. This machine weighs a couple hundred pounds and was filled up with quarters so there's no question, the one guy that fell definitely got hurt," said Olson.

There was also another surprise for the car wash bandits.

There probably wasn't as much money inside as they'd hoped for.

It was just emptied that same afternoon.

"They take the risk of going to jail to steal something that may have money in there or not," said Olson.

The car wash owner is offering a cash reward if the suspects are found, and the owner has since installed an alarm-activated door on the property.

The cash machine was later found completely stripped in a ditch.
