Former Police Chief Hernan Guerra was scheduled for an appearance in federal court in Hidalgo County to request bond to get out of jail.

Guerra, who has been Police Chief in Sullivan City for the last four years, was indicted on five drug-related counts and taken into custody last week, after the FBI raided his office.
