A simple water fountain might be one way to curb childhood obesity.
A German study finds children who are encouraged to drink water are less likely to become overweight. Researchers installed water fountains in a group of elementary schools and then had teachers give four lessons on the benefits of drinking water.
After one school year, the kids risk for becoming overweight went down 31% compared to other schools.
