A new study provides a clearer picture of the risk links between hormone replacement therapy and ovarian cancer.
Researchers in Denmark looked at the medical records of nearly one million women, ages 40 to 79 years of age, who did not have cancer at the start of the study. They found women who were currently taking hormone replacement therapy had a 38% increased risk for ovarian cancer. After they stopped using the drugs, their risk went down with time.
