In medical news, up to one in five older adults are binge drinkers.
Most people link binge drinking to their college years, but a new Duke University study of eleven thousand men and women over age 50, finds the older crowd can also throw'em back.
Researchers found over 20% of men and 9% of women in the 50 to 64 age range met the criteria for binge drinking, which is measured by consuming five or more alcoholic drinks at one time. Also, 14% of men and 3% of women over the age of 65 were also binge drinkers.
