Dead fish littered the beach at Padre Island National Seashore with warm temperatures encouraging the red algae growth and killing fish.

The outbreak of red tide was noticed last Friday, but it got worse over the weekend. Park officials put out an advisory on Tuesday warning visitors about the algae bloom. People near the Texas shoreline have been noticing burning eyes and skin irritation and authorities are asking people to stay away at least for the next few days.
