A new study shows a diet high in fat may increase your risk for pancreatic cancer.

Researchers at the National Institutes of Health studied food questionnaires filled out by over 500,000 people and they tracked the participants for six years. They found men who ate the most high fat food had a 53% increased risk for pancreatic cancer, compared to men who ate the least fattening food. Women who ate the most fat had a 23% higher risk for the disease.

Experts say the study is limited because it depends on participants remembering their food habits. They also can't rule out other factors common among people who eat meat as causing the increased risk.
