Bad Night of Sleep May Increase Obesity

Here's now another reason to get to bed early, a bad night's sleep not only makes you grouchy in the morning, it may also increase your risk for obesity and high blood pressure.
Researchers looked at several studies on the affect of a lack of sleep at the experimental biology meeting in New Orleans. One study found three days of poor sleep causes the body to need more insulin meaning no sleep could cause you to eat more.
Another study found a lack of sleep over five years increased the risk for high blood pressure. Sleeplessness is also being linked to obesity in both adults and children.
